Iolo Jones

I'm a PhD student in Mathematics at Durham University. I work on geometry and its applications to machine learning and data analysis.

I particularly focus on diffusion geometry, which defines Riemannian geometry for data and probability spaces. I'm particularly interested in applying these methods to problems in physical sciences where complex processes and functions are often determined by 'shape'.

In Spring 2025, I am visiting the Institute of Artificial Intelligence at the Medical University of Vienna.
